Plumbing for Remodels in Knoxville, TN
Changing the layout of a kitchen, bathroom or entire home often means changing the plumbing behind it. The Classic Plumber provides professional plumbing for remodels ranging from fixture upgrades and bathroom renovations to major kitchen renovations, additions and whole-home remodeling projects. We work directly with homeowners and can also work as the plumbing subcontractor for general contractors, remodeling companies and other construction professionals.

Your New Layout May Need New Plumbing
A remodel is often more involved than replacing old fixtures with new ones.
Moving a sink, changing a tub to a shower, relocating a toilet, adding a bathroom or redesigning a kitchen can require changes to water piping, drainage, venting and fixture rough-ins.
We review what is existing, what the new design requires and what needs to change behind the walls before the finished surfaces go back together.
The Remodel Plumbing Process
Seven phases — from inspecting existing conditions through final testing of completed fixtures.
Existing Conditions
We inspect the plumbing that is already there and identify what can remain and what needs to change.
Plans & New Layout
We review the proposed layout, drawings, plans or fixture selections and determine how the plumbing needs to accommodate the new design.
Demolition Coordination
We coordinate with the homeowner or contractor so plumbing can be safely disconnected, capped, removed or relocated at the proper stage.
Rough-In
We install or modify the drain, waste, vent and water piping required for the new layout.
Testing / Inspection
Plumbing is tested and applicable inspection requirements are addressed before walls and finishes conceal the work.
Trim-Out
After cabinets, tile and finished surfaces are ready, we return to install and connect the plumbing fixtures and equipment.
Final Testing
We operate the completed fixtures, check connections and verify the plumbing is functioning properly.
Send Us Your Remodel Plans
If your designer, architect, cabinet company or contractor has already prepared plans, send them to us. Reviewing the proposed layout helps us understand fixture locations and plumbing changes before work begins.
